Lady Spring

Lovely Lady Spring
brings the golden dawn.
Her smile warms the day
waking up the land.
With each step
of her dainty feet,
flowers bloom and shine.
Her soft kiss
causes sleepy buds
to open
in the sun.
Lady Spring’s sweet singing
tickles birdies ‘til they tweet.
Her gentle tears water
seeds and stems
softening up the dirt.
Her favorites,
the bunnies
run and hop along
as lovely Lady Spring
rides the mighty unicorn.
Banners fly
in the coral-pink sky as each bird
swoops and dives.
Twilight arrives
as Lady Spring reclines
watching the fading sun.
She sighs a lullaby.
In the waning glow holds
all in her loving arms—
rocks us to and fro.
Creatures close their eyes
resting in the charms of
Lovely Lady Spring.
